WOMEN IN ACTION
Antelope Valley Women In Action began when a group of Democratic women in Palmdale and Lancaster decided they wanted to form a political action committee to help elect Democratic candidates in the Antelope Valley and statewide.Then these uppity women decided that they wanted to be more than politically engaged: They wanted to make a nonpolitical difference in their communities. The organization they subsequently created incorporates these two objectives and has been a great success from its inception. It raises money to benefit promising and viable Democratic candidates, as well as the needy and disadvantaged in the Antelope Valley. It will continue to effectively and creatively do so with compassion, enthusiasm, and determination.
